34 WeekUpdate
Today I'm officially 34 weeks pregnant. In one sense I am so ready and excited to have him here, yet in another sense I'm not sure if I'm ready for the chaos that is about to ensue! I went to the doctor today and will start going once a week from here on out. I get an ultrasound next week to check the baby's position. My doctor will be out of town next week, so she quickly felt my stomach to see if she could tell his position. She said he may have flipped from breech. She said my stomach looked less "breech like". But, she warned me not to get too excited yet. I will know for sure next Tuesday. I'm so nervous for this appointment. I just pray he did flip. We talked about what the plan would be if he didn't. She can't try to flip him because my placenta is in the front. My only option if he is breech is a c-section. She said it will be scheduled for January 24th. I soooo don't want a c-section. I am hoping to get great news next week!
The little prince's room is almost completely ready. I will be taking pictures soon to post. I am so happy with the way it turned out! It is too cute. It was fun to do a boy's room this time. We are just about ready for him I think. (Or as ready as we will ever be!) I'm waiting for after Christmas to finish last minute things like packing a bag, setting up the co-sleeper, etc.
I have been feeling pretty good still. This pregnancy has just been a dream compared to Ashlyn's. I am starting to become more and more uncomfortable each day as he gets bigger, but I still feel pretty good. I do think this is partly due to the fact that I have been getting massages every 2-3 weeks this pregnancy. It has made a world of difference! I go in aching from head to toe, and walk out of there feeling amazing! I LOVE my massage therapist! She is the best!
Last week was my last week of work. It was very bittersweet for me. My kids were not happy to have me leave. It broke my heart to say goodbye to them. I am looking forward to getting to spend all my time with my kids now. I plan on spending lots of good quality time with Ashlyn the next few weeks. We have had a great time the last two days. Tomorrow we are going to a movie just the two of us. Ashlyn is just loving getting to have her mom home with her. In January, she will go to preschool two mornings a week.
Ashlyn is getting very excited for her brother and Christmas. She told me the other day she was very excited for her brother to get here so she could hold him. The other night, she took her doll's pacifier to my stomach and kept saying "It's okay, calm down". Apparently, she told me the baby was crying. I just know she will be a great sister. She is such a big help. I just hope the adjustment isn't too hard on her. My parents are going to make it a little easier by taking her to Disneyland a few weeks after the baby is born. Surely a few days of grandparent time will make her lots better!
Ashlyn is very excited for Christmas. She has really enjoyed the lights and music this year. Her favorite songs are "Rudolph" and the Hippopotamus song. She discovered the hippo one yesterday, and has been listening/singing it every since. Her Rudolph rendition is the cutest thing ever!
I plan on blogging more since I'm not working at least until the baby gets here. I will update with any baby news. I will also be posting baby room and Christmas pics soon!

Thanksgiving 2010
As usual, we had a great Thanksgiving. Since I was 30 weeks pregnant, Joey and I decided that we just couldn't do the drive out to Buena Vista this year :( Instead, we had Thanksgiving with my family. We had a great day spent with family and great food. We have so much to be thankful for this year. Our family is well and has everything we need. We are especially grateful for our newest addition coming soon!
Ashlyn is such a little helper. She likes to help me all the time. She really, really likes to help cook. I think she will take after her dad and Papa DeLorme and be a great cook one day. She was such a help this year. Here are some pictures of her in action.
Getting ready to make the green bean casserole. Her shirt says "Everyone is Thankful for Me". Soooo true!
The Rockettes
Last Wednesday, we got to do something extra special. We went and saw The Rockettes! My Mom and sister had seen them perform last year at Radio City in New York City. They were just wowed with their performance. As soon as my Mom found out they were coming here, she bought tickets. She got us great seats too! We got to sit in the second row. We were so close to the stage. It was a wonderful performance. It's something that everyone should see at least once in their lives. Ashlyn really enjoyed the show. She got a little antsy towards the end, but for the most part she loved it! Her favorite part was when they shot "snow" on our section. They shot out paper confetti that looked like snow. They shot out a TON of it. We were covered in white confetti. She just thought it was the neatest thing ever. She was having a blast catching it. We had a great night out with the girls. It was a great way to kick off our holiday weekend. It definitely got me in the Christmas spirit!

Growing Babies
Ashlyn went in for her 3 year appointment today. I wasn't able to go this year :( I have to save every vacation day I have for maternity leave. It made me very sad because I have gone to every other appointment. Luckily, Joey's work schedule allowed for him to take her. He said that the doctor said she looked great. Ashlyn has been so healthy lately, that I don't think she has been to the doctor since her two-year checkup. They weighed and measured her. As usual, she is my tall, skinny girl. At age 3 she only weighs 29 pounds. She is still in the 20th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She's such a tiny little girl. Joey said that she thought she was a princess when she put on her exam gown. She was singing songs for her pediatrician which I guess he got a great kick out of.
In baby news, I am officially 29 weeks today. I am now in my third trimester and am feeling it. I still feel pretty good, but I am just so tired. Teaching full time is really wearing me down. If all goes as planned, I will be done at Christmas Break. I think it will be an easier transition for my class to leave then opposed to a random day in January. I'm getting closer and am now seeing an end in sight. I'm going to really miss my class, but I'm also very excited to be at home with my children.
I went to the doctor last week and she said things looked great. My only concern is that the baby was breech when we got our 3d ultrasound. Ashlyn was never breech, so I'm freaking out at the thought of a c-section. My doctor assured me that 90% of babies flip in time. I'm just so worried that he won't. I pray he does what he needs to do! We are continuing to get things ready for his arrival. With Ashlyn I was totally ready for her by this point. I have a lot more to keep me busy now, so I feel like I still have so much to do. It's going to get hectic with the holidays coming. We have so much going on.
In name news, Joey and I think we may have it narrowed down to two names. We both have a name we really like. So, we will see who wins. We are waiting until he's born to make the final decision. We've also decided to keep it a secret from everyone until he comes. Even Ashlyn doesn't know. I've decided it's a lot of fun to not tell anyone. Especially since I don't have to hear any opinions.
