Weekend

This weekend was a busy like usual.  Ashlyn got invited to a play date at an indoor play place.  She was so excited to go.  Joey took her and Dawson both.  I stayed at home and begun the arduous task of packing.  The kids had a great time and can't wait to go back.  I managed to get a fair amount of packing done, yet I still have so much to do.
The weather was nice this weekend.  Ashlyn and Joey spent some time in the backyard on Sunday.  One thing I am going to miss the most about this house is how big of a backyard it has.  Our new house has a much smaller backyard.  I am not sure how I feel about that yet, but I am sure we will adjust.

They love each other so much.  Alli is seriously the best dog we could ever ask for with kids.

She is getting so big and can now do the monkey bars by herself.

Valentine's Day

I am a little behind like usual.  We have so much going on with selling our house and buying a new one later this month.  Packing and getting everything in order has been very time consuming!  I can't wait until it is all over with!
I wanted to write a short post about our Valentine's day.  This was was the first Valentine's day that I had to work in three years.  I love going all out and making it really special for the kids.  Last year I had a great time making special themed meals the entire day.  This year was much different.  We had just gotten back from Disney and quite honestly with working a full day, it was a little harder to do all that I usually do.  I did start the day off with little treat bags for the kids.  Inside they got a few little treats.  They really liked it and were very surprised.
Both Ashlyn and Dawson got to bring valentines to school for their parties.  Ashlyn chose Barbie valentines and Dawson chose cars.  Ashlyn had a great time signing her name on each card for her classmates.  I couldn't make it to either of their parties because I had a meeting at work that I could not miss.
When we all got home, I made the kids their favorite foods for a special dinner.  I served the meal on heart plates.  I wanted to use the heart cookie cutters and the rest of the Valentine's day stuff, but at this point I honestly have no clue where it is.  We finished the meal with special mini cupcakes which they both loved.  I vow next year to be much more organized and make the day very special.  Overall, we all still had a great day and we all definitely felt loved.

Dawson's shirt is a little hard to read, but it says "Heart Breaker" and has a picture of Darth Vader.
Showing each other love.

Ashlyn even got pink milk. That was a HUGE treat for her!

Enjoying her special dinner.

Yum!
