Dawson is a very simple boy with simple taste. He requested for his birthday pizza, presents, and a homemade ice cream cake. It was a simple celebration, but it was just what he wanted.

For his birthday "party", Dawson wanted to do things a little differently. He loves to play the Magic Quest game at Great Wolf Lodge. In fact, when we have stayed there in the past he has been more interested in doing that than going to the water park. We decided to head over to Great Wolf Lodge during the day so he could play some Magic Quest. They also did the ropes course which they seemed to really like.
After Great Wolf Lodge, we met my mom at a nearby hotel. We have stayed at this hotel several times and we just love it. They have big suites which are perfect for all the kids. They also have awesome snack/dinner reception and a really good breakfast. The best part is the pool. The kids love to swim all night and wake up the next morning and swim some more. It is a perfect little "staycation" for us.
