August Randoms

  Here are some random shots from August.

Emmy at 20 Months

  Here is our little goober at 20 months.  She is definitely a growing up girl!  She is becoming more of a toddler and less of a baby each and every day.  She continues to love to play outside.  It is hands down her most favorite thing.  She will play out there all day if we let her. She loves the play set we have.  I am worried what she will do when the weather turns cold!  She also loves to go on walks around the neighborhood.  She doesn't ride in the stroller, she actually walks.  I usually take her on a walk around the neighborhood every afternoon before her nap.  She always naps so well after that.  We also discovered that Emmy LOVES corn . We have it several nights a week, and she goes to town on some corn.  Love this girl so much!

First Day of School

    We had an incredible summer, but all good things must come to an end, and before we knew it, it was time for the kids to go back to school. 
     Gracie started kindergarten this year.  She was really apprehensive, but she already knew a lot of kids there from preschool and neighbors.  She got an awesome teacher and was very excited that some of her friends were in her class.  I wasn't able to be there on her first day of school because I had to work.  Joey said she did great walking into the school.  When we picked her up that day, she said she had a great day.  She seems to really enjoy kindergarten so far. 
     Dawson started the third grade this year.  He is in the same class once again with Ella.  This year they are out in the portables which is a bit different for the two of them.  I think he will have a great year. 
   Ashlyn started middle school this year.  I can't believe we have a 6th grader on our hands! We are so lucky in that they built a middle school right next to the elementary school which just happens to be right across the street.  She gets to ride her bike every morning.  Since the school is brand new, they have definitely had some issues, but I hope they figure them out.  Ashlyn is taking art and band for her electives.  She will be learning the clarinet.  I am excited to see what middle school has in store for Ashlyn.
