It feels like Halloween came so fast this year! The kids have been looking forward to it for months! Nothing beats free candy. The kids all got to wear their costumes to school. Ashlyn was Robin from Stranger Things, Dawson was a T-Rex, and Gracie was Snow White. Dawson begged for an inflatable T Rex costume. I finally caved in and bought it for him a few weeks before Halloween. The day it arrived he was beyond excited. He had to try it one right away. He wore that costume all the time. He especially liked wearing it on the trampoline. Jameson saw it and of course decided he wanted to also be a dinosaur. Gracie decided that she wanted to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I got her costume complete with a little basket with a stuffed Toto. The morning of Halloween, she decided she DID NOT want to be Dorothy, so she grabbed some random old Snow White costume and went with that.
Joey, Emmy, and I were able to come to Gracie's class party. Her teacher had all sorts of fun activities and we had a great time watching her have fun with her little friends.
Halloween was a COLD one this year. We have gotten really lucky the past few years with fairly warm Halloweens. This year was not warm unfortunately. After school, we did our usual pizza and getting ready. I put Emmy's costume on and I only took her to a few houses on our street, then we went back inside where it was nice and warm. Joey took the kids around the neighborhood and they lasted a lot longer than I thought they would with the cold. Emmy and I had a great time passing out candy and we got quite a few trick or treaters. All in all it was a good Halloween.
