It's hard to believe that Dawson turned 19 months old last week. I am a little late posting because this last week has been very busy! Dawson continues to light up our lives and bring a smile to everyone's face who is around him. He is just the cutest thing. Everywhere we go, people constantly stop and comment on how cute he is. I call him my model baby and I think he will one day be quite the heartbreaker. Beyond being adorable, Dawson is such a funny and happy little boy. His daycare provider is always commenting on the fact that he is just so happy. He loves to laugh and loves to interact with others. He is a very smart little boy and often impresses me with his ability to problem solve and figure out how things work. He can stack blocks like no other. His motor skills are impressive.
Some of Dawson's favorites things are: books! He loves books. He has a favorite, Barnyard Banter, which I have to read him every night. He loves looking for the goose in the book. He loves buttons and anything electronical. He grabs anything he can get his hands on that has buttons or power. He also loves flipping the light switches on and pushing the button to open and shut the garage door. He gets upset with me if I don't let him open the garage door. He loves to dance and is becoming quite the little dancer. He had us in stiches at the cabin with some of his dance moves. Too cute! He loves his sister and likes playing with her. They really enjoy chasing one another around. Dawson loves being on the move and likes to run around and laugh the whole way. Dawson also loves being independent. He now likes to go up and down the stairs like a big boy and doesn't want much help. He also loves feeding himself and won't let me feed him at all. It is so hard for me to see my little baby getting so big!
There isn't very much Dawson doesn't like. He doesn't like being strapped in his carseat. He also doesn't like when his sister takes his toys from him. He doesn't like some foods and is very good at avoiding eating them. He hates going to bed and always wants to play more. He also hates having his diaper changed and it is quite the battle to get him to stay still long enough.
I hope that provides a glimpse of Dawson at 19 months. He is such an amazing little boy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives!
