I am attempting to get caught up in this blog. Our move has taken every spare second of my time for the last month. On top of working and taking care of 3 very busy kids, I find very little time to work on this blog. It is extremely important for me to preserve our memories, so I am going to attempt to catch up a bit.
Cross country season ended with a huge race at the kid's school. I think there was 6 different schools there, so at least a thousand kids were there. It was a zoo! Dawson raced first. They all took off, and my sister said, "I think Dawson fell down." There was so many kids racing, that he somehow got tangled up in the kids and fell down. I ran over to him and he was pretty shaken up. I decided I would have to run the race with him. This was the longest race that they did. Needless to say, he complained the entire time and wanted to quit multiple times. I managed to talk him into finishing and I was so happy to see him cross the finish line. I am glad that this was the last race, because I don't think I could have talked him into another one after his experience.
Ashlyn's race was very large as well and they had to run a pretty long distance. She ran with her best friend Sophie so they could encourage one another along the way. The crossed the finish line together. It was a great ending to a really fun cross country season.
