Ashlyn decided that she wanted to move her room into the basement.  Gracie finally got her own room again.  Here is her new room.

   Ashlyn has participated in Battle of the Books all year.  They basically read a bunch of books all year and practice answering questions about them.  In April, they have a big city wide competition with lots of other schools.  Of course, it was scheduled on the same day I had to present my thesis.  Luckily, it was on my college's campus, so I was able to run over and watch her compete.  They didn't allow cameras in, so this is the only shot I got.  They didn't win, but it was still a great experience for Ashlyn. 

Nuggets Games

    I am such a big Nuggets.  I love going to games at the Pepsi Center because the energy in their is unreal!  They are so much fun!  The Nuggets went to the playoffs for the first time in a few years.  Joey bought us tickets to several games.  We had such a good time watching them.

Emmy at 16 Months

Renovations

   
  We recently did some exciting remodeling at our house.  We haven't even lived in our house three years, but it is  something I have wanted to do for a long time.  When we build the house, we chose to just do linoleum in the laundry room and the kids bathroom to keep our budget down a bit.  We had planned to switch it out to tile as soon as we could.  We finally got around to doing.  I am so, so happy with the results as I absolutely hated the linoleum.  I love home improvements!

After of the kids bathroom.  I love this tile so much.  We also did the basement bathroom.  Such an improvement!  

The after of the laundry room.  We also had the contractor paint the cabinet white.  It looks so much fresher and cleaner.  I absolutely love this tile and was so excited to have it in our house.  

Gracie Field Trip

  Gracie's preschool class went on a field trip to the space museum.

 Gracie has been begging to get her ears pierced.  Our pediatrician's office does a "painless" version.  They use numbing cream before piercing them so it hurts a little less.  Gracie was too excited to care about the pain.  She took it like a champ and now has pierced ears.  They look just perfect on her!
