With this pandemic, the kids were so nervous that they were not going to be able to go Trick or Treating this year. I know that a lot of families chose to stay home and not participate this year. As a family, we decided that we were willing to take the risk because our kids NEEDED trick or treating. It was just a tradition we weren't willing to give up! The kids were still able to have parties at school and wear their costumes.
We were all so excited that Halloween was finally on a Saturday! We got to celebrate all day long. I made a special lunch for the kids. I did pumpkin shaped quesadillas and pumpkin oranges. The kids all got a kick out of it.

Even though it was Halloween, Gracie had her final soccer game of the fall season. We got lucky with really nice weather and Grace played great as usual! We were all a little sad for soccer to be over, but we hope that they will get to play in the spring.
The soccer game didn't get over until 4:30. When we got home, we had to quickly get ready for trick or treating. Ashlyn being an almost teenager, decided to go trick or treating with her friends. It made my mom heart a little sad to not have her with us, but she did stop by our house later to get candy.

Ashlyn decided to go as a character from Harry Potter. I thought she was done with Harry Potter, but all of a sudden she really likes it again. |
Before we headed out to go trick or treating we had our yearly tradition of pumpkin shaped pizza. It's always the perfect dinner before we head out. This year I also made a special sludge punch that the kids all loved.
