Last Thursday, we headed to the North Pole. The North Pole is a small amusement park near Pikes Peak that has a Christmas theme. I had not been there in 15+ years, so I was excited to take
Ashlyn. It was a great park because everything is really geared towards the toddler age. The neat part is that kids can ride any ride if they are over the age of 1 and with an adult. Santa is there, and we tried again to have
Ashlyn sit on his lap. She freaked out again and did not want any part of that! We had a great time and
Ashlyn and I want to go back with Joey so he can have lots of fun with us too!
A picture of
Ashlyn cuddling with her best bud before we went.
The first ride we rode,
Ashlyn really liked it.
The Tilt A Whirl. It spun a little too fast for all of us!!!!
This was the highlight of
Ashlyn's day. She got her face painted. They did it with a spray gun so it went very fast and she sat
surprisingly still. She loved her puppy! For the rest of the day, we would say "Where is your puppy?" She would immediately point right to the puppy on her cheek. It was just adorable!
Another shot of the puppy on her cheek.
Riding the carousel which is one of her favorites!
Waiting for a ride to start.
Riding on the ladybug ride
Waving to the camera.
She loved this ride! She got to drive a state trooper car just like her Grandpa!
This one was extra special, she got to ride it all by herself!
The state trooper car even had 3 steering wheels!!!
They had a toy store that was devoted just to girl's toys. She was looking in the window at all of the exciting toys!
She looks so tiny!
Going down the big slide. We really liked this one! The slide actually went really fast!
One last picture before we left on Santa's sleigh.
