5 Weeks

Things have improved since my last post. My friend Josey recommended that I try probiotics since she had success with it with her sons. I went out that day and bought some for both myself and Dawson. I think that they are really helping. I also have eliminated dairy from my diet. It has been hard to not have dairy, but I'm willing to do anything at this point. I'm not sure which is helping or if it's both, but Dawson is doing much better. He does not just cry and cry anymore. He still cries, but not like he was before. I would say he cries no more than any other baby this age. He can now lay in his crib or under his activity mat and be content. Earlier this week, he would've have just cried and screamed. I pray that he continues to do well and not revert back to how things were. I'm actually able to get things done around the house again.

Ashlyn has been going to preschool and just loving it. She has been reunited with all of her friends. She's been learning lots of new songs and bringing home some really cute art projects. I think it's a great break for her to get to socialize and I am able to go do errands with only one child. She is just learning so much and continues to amaze us with how much she knows. She will talk about things all the time and Joey and I will ask each other where she learned that. We have been working at home on some preschools skills. Right now we are working on writing her name. So far she writes a great letter A.

Dawson continues to grow. He got a play mat this week that he seems to enjoy. Joey said this morning when he was laying under it he was grabbing the toys that hang down. Pretty impressive for just turning 5 weeks. I keep waiting to see some good smiles.

This Saturday we are leaving for our yearly spring trip to Phoenix. I'm so excited for Dawson to see Arizona for the first time. We are driving as usual and I pray he does as well in the car as Ashlyn did when we took her when she was only a few weeks old. We are all excited this time that Joey gets to join us. My parents, brother, sister, and Ella are also going which should make for a great week of soaking up the sun and having fun! I will blog when we get back with vacation photos.

I had to take a picture of his adorable shirt.

Just relaxing

Katy was over the other day while I was cooking dinner and she held both babies. It's kind of like having twins sometimes.

Dawson's new activity mat that he just loves.

They are too sweet together

We are beyond blessed!

Ashlyn loves to do this "stink eye" look. Joey and I think its pretty funny.
