Even though we had a birthday party for Ashlyn at Chuck E. Cheese, I still wanted to do something on her actual birthday. I also didn't want to make all of our family come to Chuck E. Cheese and endure all of that chaos. We decided to have a very small get together at our house. Her birthday coincided with the Broncos/Raider game. I decided to make football type food. Everyone came over about noon and we ate, did presents, and had cupcakes and ice cream. We were done just in time for the game to start. Most everyone stayed for the game. We watched it while Ashlyn played with all of her new toys. Ashlyn just had a amazing time. She loves it when the whole family gets together. She told Joey the night before, "Daddy I'm so excited for tomorrow, all the people that I love the most will be here". She is very right. Ashlyn is a very loved little girl. Thank you to everyone who came and showered Ashlyn with love and wonderful gifts.
Some of the food. |
I labeled all the food with pony names. Ashlyn's theme this year was My Little Pony. The girl is just crazy about anything and everything My Little Pony. She is obsessed!!! |
The cake table. Bri did a great job on the decorations. |
Since we had two parties, I just made a double batch of the cupcakes. I didn't mind eating them two days in a row and I know Ashlyn didn't either! |
The birthday sign that we put up every year. I need to order Dawson one to have for all of his birthdays. |
The great balloon idea that Katy did. It looked so cute. The picture doesn't quite do it justice. |
She loved the shirt that I made her so much, she decided to wear it two days in row. |
Wearing her special birthday hat. |
Drinking the punch that she just thought was wonderful. |
The best part: opening presents! |
She got some wonderful gits. Lots and lots of My Little Pony stuff. |
Krissy told Ashlyn that she could probably fit in the bag that her present came in. After Ashlyn opened it, she hopped right in. Goofy girl! |
More pony stuff |
Even more pony stuff |
Blowing out her candle. I hope she made a great wish! |
