Day before Easter

Easter 2013

   Saturday was another fun filled day for us.  It started as usual with my long run for the week.  I usually get up super early on Saturdays and do a long run to get it out of the way. Joey worked this Saturday, so I went to the gym a little later with the kids.  As usual, the kids had a great time playing and running around at the gym.  After the gym, we headed to a nearby grocery store.  I was there earlier in the week and they were advertising that the Easter bunny would be there and they had other Easter activities for kids.  I figured it was worth stopping by and as an added bonus we didn't have to deal with the mall crowds to see the Easter bunny.  Ashlyn and Ella weren't at all afraid of the bunny.  Dawson clung to me and would not let me put him down or put him anywhere near him.  They also had little egg cakes for kids to decorate.  Ella and Ashlyn each got a cake to decorate.  They had a lot of fun decorating.
   We headed home for a quick lunch.  After lunch, we were off again.  It was a beautiful day and we wanted to take advantage of it.  We were very familiar with all the parks in our old neighborhood.  We wanted to find some new parks in our new neighborhood.  My sister and I found a great one that is very close to both of our houses.  The kids had a great time running and climbing on everything.  I can't wait for the weather to finally warm up so we can go to the park more often.
    Dawson went down for his afternoon nap, and Ashlyn and I did some things around the house.  When he woke up, we all got ready to go to church.  We decided to go to the Saturday night service instead of Sunday morning.  We always go to the Saturday night service because it works with our schedule much better.  Ashlyn was very excited to go to church like usual.  When we checked in we realized that she wouldn't be able to go to the kids program during the service like she usually does.  She didn't seem to mind.  I was afraid that she was going to get bored, but she did great.  I think she liked seeing what the adult service was like.  She even told me that she wanted to go to the adult one from now on.  Not sure if that will happen or not.  We picked up the little kids from the nursery and they had a good time.  After church we headed home and ate dinner.  We got ready for the big visit that night from the Easter bunny.  Ashlyn was so excited that she didn't even want to go to sleep.  She was fell asleep in about 5 minutes though because she was so worn out from our busy day.
