Diana's Pumpkin Patch

This weekend, we made our annual trip to one of our favorite fall places, the pumpkin patch!  Ashlyn was beyond thrilled when we told her we were going.  She remembers it from previous years and just loves it.  Ella and Dawson didn't quite remember it from previous years, but they still were excited to go.  It never quite seems like fall until we make our trip to the pumpkin patch.
The pumpkin patch is about an hour drive.  We all loaded up into my sister's van and we were on our way.  We always try to get there right when it opens because it tends to get very busy.  We have noticed that each year it gets more and more crowded.
The first thing that we did was go into the corn maze.  The corn maze is the neatest part.  It is huge!  They always do a theme with an accompanying puzzle.  The puzzle involves looking for clues through out the maze and punching a clue card.  This year's theme was Indian Jones.  It was neat.  The kids loved running through the tall cornstalks looking for hidden clues.  It seemed to be a more challenging maze this year.  We walked all around that maze and never found the final clue.  In year's past, we have always found all the clues.  There is always next year!
After the maze, we explored other parts of the patch.  The kids picked out some huge pumpkins to carve later.  They looked at the animals and sat on the tractors.  We had a great time exploring.  We started to get very hungry for lunch, so we decided to head out.  As usual, we had a great fall day at the patch.  We can't wait for next year!

One of our attempts at a group picture.

Look how tall those girls are!

Ella definitely did some growing this year!

The kids really liked these little pumpkins.

He decided it might be easier to push the cart instead

Of course, he went crazy for this tractor.
