Announcement

We are so excited to announce that the newest member of the DeLorme family will be arriving in March 2014!!!!   We feel so incredibly blessed and can not wait to meet out newest addition!
This will be a long post, since I have a lot to catch up on here.  Things with this pregnancy have been going well.  I was pretty sick in the beginning, but I'm feeling much better now.  It was hard for me to eat because nothing even sounded remotely appetizing.  The first trimester was also difficult because I was so unbelievably tired.  I forget how exhausting pregnancy can be!  I would sleep and sleep and still feel like I got ran over by a truck.  Now that I'm well into my second trimester, I have more energy, but I am still pretty tired.  I can't ever make it past 9:30.
My only other complaint is that this pregnancy has been plagued with bad headaches.  I got them frequently with Ashlyn's pregnancy, but never got a single one with Dawson.  I was praying I would luck out again.  They are horrible and I can't take anything but Tylenol which I find does nothing to help the pain.
Other than headaches and tiredness, I am absolutely loving be pregnant.  I am trying to enjoy each and every second.  I know what a true blessing and gift from God children are.  With this pregnancy we have decided to not find out what we are having.  I was always very eager to find out what we were having.  Our thinking is that we already have everything for girl and everything for a boy, so we have no reason to know.  I absolutely can't wait for the delivery when it is announced what I'm having.  This baby will be our little tie breaker.  It will determine if there will be more boys or more girls in the family.  Both Ashlyn and Dawson want a sister.  Ashlyn keeps referring to the baby as a her, then she will correct herself.  I can't wait to see what God blesses us with!
Ashlyn is so very excited to be a big sister.  We just recently announced the news to her.  She immediately wanted to know if it was a boy or girl.  I showed her the ultrasound pictures and she loved the picture of the little foot. I know that she will be a great big sister to this baby too.  She is such a good sister to Dawson and amazing with her cousins.  The other day, she said, "Mom if you ever need me to put the baby to sleep I would do that for you."  She also told me yesterday, that she would like to be there to hold the baby's hand when they get their first shots.  What a sweet, caring girl.
Dawson still isn't quite grasping the concept that there is a baby in my tummy.  The other day someone asked him what was in my tummy, and he lifted my shirt as if to really see what I had in my tummy.  When asked though, he is very insistent that he wants a sister.
Running has been very touch and go this pregnancy.  My goal was to run the entire pregnancy since I didn't with the other two.  In the beginning I wasn't able to run.  I am able to run now, but I am just so slow.  Its hard for me to run so slowly when I'm used to doing speed work, etc.  I know it is only for a short time, but I still get discouraged.  I will continue to try to run as long as I can.  I know its so good for both the baby and myself.  More than anything I want to stay in the habit of running.  I started running again 6 weeks after Dawson was born.  I don't think I ever took more than a few days off until I got pregnant again.  I had created such a strong, healthy habit. I am most afraid if I don't run, I will struggle to get back in the habit.  I'm doing my best and cutting down on miles and way down on speed, but I'm still running as much as possible.  I will run as long as my body allows.
Our anatomy ultrasound was a few weeks ago.  I was so tempted to see what we are having, but I stayed strong.  The baby looks great and is measuring right on track.  Thank God for a healthy baby!  I can't believe that my pregnancy is already half way over with.  I know March will be here before we know it.  We will have lots to do to get ready for a new bundle of joy!
