This holiday season has just been beyond busy. I am just now finally getting caught up on blogging. Better late than never.
Graceyn is now 9 months old. How can this be??? Time has just flown by. I know for certain that nine months of pregnancy did not go by nearly this fast. I think time is just flying because we are having so much fun with our girl and loving every minute of watching her grow. She is growing like crazy too!
She went for her 9 month appointment a few weeks ago. I don't have her stat sheet in front of me, but I think she was around 18 pounds. She is in the 50% for weight. Still crazy to me because her siblings were never above the 25%. She is growing great. Her doctor said she looked great like usual.
At 9 months Gracie is doing all sorts of fun new things. She is really working on walking. She has started to stand without holding onto anything. She always gets the biggest grin on her face when she does it too. I know once she fully masters this skill, walking will be coming very quickly. I want her to stay a baby forever and I'm in no hurry to have her walking.
Gracie is such a happy, happy girl. People always comment on that right away. She is so smiley and loves to smile at everyone. My brother can't get over how she always smiles at him right when he sees her. She is just such a sweet and happy little thing.
Gracie continues to babble and talk like crazy. She has mastered "Mama". Today she was doing a great job calling Dawson "Bubba". She also says "Dada". I know we will have another talker on our hands. Between the three, I don't think Joey and I will ever get a word in again.
Gracie is also waving hello and goodbye. She also has mastered shaking her head for "no". I was a little unsure if she was aware of what she was saying, but tonight I asked her if she was ready to get out of the bath. Twice she shook her head "no". I blew me away. She's a smart one I tell you.
Gracie is still loving food. She has pretty much rejected all purees and baby food. If I try to give her yogurt she just shakes her head "no". She is Miss Independent and has to feed herself. She will eat anything I put in front of her if she gets to feed herself. Her favorite food is still meat. She just devours any and all meat. Joey and I get such a kick out of it. She also really enjoys cheese just like her mom. She also now has two bottom teeth.
Graceyn has been battling a cold for over a week. It seems to be way worse at night and it has really affected her sleep. So, I can't really comment on her sleeping at this point because she has been sleeping horribly the last few nights. Again, I know this is such a short stage and I just pray I will get good sleep again at some point in my life. It is all worth it and I would give up all sleep for my little girl. She is just my world and we all love her so much.
I will end the post with Gracie's likes and dislikes:
Likes: putting anything and everything in her mouth( I have to watch her like a hawk and I still dig out multiple things from her mouth a day), her sister and brother, feeding herself, pulling up on furniture, baths, putting her hands under the running water in the bath, being tickled, being held and carried around the house, playing the piano with Ashlyn, her new toys, and chewing on things.
Dislikes: going in the car seat, getting dressed, not being picked up when she wants to be, going to bed at night, pureed baby food, the adorable flower headbands that she used to love to wear, and diaper changes.
Here are the pictures I took for this month. She is such a doll baby. When we went to Arizona recently we were out and about a lot. I can not tell you how many times a day people would stop to comment as to how adorable she is. When we were at the airport, she had a regular fan club of women who were just fawning over her. She just has such a happy disposition and it is really evident to others.
