Christmas Eve

We had another incredible Christmas full of family, laughter, and lots of blessings.  I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone.  It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating last Christmas.  Time has just flow by since I had Graceyn.  Last Christmas we all talked about how their would be a new baby next Christmas.  I can't believe she is here and already 9 months old for her first Christmas!  She had a wonderful first Christmas.  There is nothing in this world as magical as witnessing Christmas through they eyes of a child.
We always spend all of Christmas at my parents house.  We went over there the night before Christmas Eve because the kids wanted to spend two nights at their grandparents. We went and looked at Christmas lights one final time.  My stomach didn't feel right that night and I ended up getting an awful case of the stomach flu.  What awful, awful timing for the stomach flu.  I felt somewhat better Christmas Eve, but no where near as good as I wanted to feel.  I could hardly eat.  My mom also got a stomach bug as well.  Aside from the stomach yuckiness, we had a great Christmas Eve.  The show had to go on and my mom and I still did a good job getting through it.
We spent most of Christmas Eve just lounging around the house and enjoying one another's company.  We had the our traditional Danish Christmas lunch that we have had since I was a baby.  It just isn't Christmas without it.  For dinner, we made a great Mexican feast this year.  I just wish I could've eaten more of the food.
The kids were so excited to put out cookies for Santa.  They left him a note and carefully set out cookies and milk. We finished the night with me reading several different versions of The Night Before Christmas.  The kids were so excited to go to bed and were actually asleep very quickly.  Lots of fun was awaiting them the next day.

Auntie and Gracie

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house

My mom saved some of the toys from when we were babies.  Gracie was playing with the same rattle I once played with.

This was our attempt at a picture of the three kids.  Gracie was very cranky because it was past her bedtime.

The girls with their matching pajamas.

The elves waiting for Santa to pick them up.

Story time

These two boys are hilarious.  The girls quietly sat and listened to the story.  The boys preferred to wrestle like usual.  Jameson and Dawson are truly best buds and they are constantly acting like crazy boys.

We have decided to do a puzzle every Christmas.  Last year's puzzle was extremely challenging and everyone abandoned it before it was complete.  This year's puzzle was not too hard and we all really enjoyed putting it together.

The kids got to have special snowman donuts for breakfast. This is the picture Ashlyn left.

The finished puzzle.
