Beach Day

On Monday, we were all super excited to get to the beach.  The kids had enjoyed their short taste thoroughly the day before.  They were more than ready for more beach time.  We ate breakfast at the hotel and we were on our way.  The beach was a short drive from our hotel and it was not crowded at all.  It was a little cool at first, but it quickly warmed up.  The water wasn't too cold either.
We spent the day quite literally soaking up the sun and the sand.  The kids had so much fun in the water.  The all had ear to ear grins the entire time.  My sister and I are already discussing a beach vacation in the future.  We built sandcastles, collected shells, and some brave ones even tried body surfing.  It was such a perfect California day to kick back and relax a bit.
For lunch, we walked over to a local taco shop that was right across the street.  It was very tasty and all of us were sure hungry from being on the beach all morning.  After lunch, we headed back to the beach for a little more play time.  Then we all loaded up and headed to our next location for the trip: Disneyland!
