Shortly before Easter, we had fun getting ready. Of course we had to dye eggs. The kids love to dye eggs, but I don't enjoy it quite as much. It tends to be a messy endeavor, but a fun one at that. They kids had a great time experimenting with colors and making some beautiful eggs.
One thing I absolutely love about our new neighborhood is the sense of community. There is a community clubhouse that puts on many events throughout the year. One event they hold is an annual Easter egg hunt. They spread out eggs all over the grassy area and the kids went crazy gathering eggs. They all managed to get several eggs. The kids got to trade their eggs for a treat bag, After the egg hunt, there was a potluck style breakfast to enjoy. The Easter bunny was even there. It was a great morning and definitely an event we will be attending each year.
