Gaylord Trip

My district starts in late July.  We always try to do some kind of special trip at the end of summer with my mom.  Even though things are much different, we were still able to book a trip at the Gaylord. I think things were a bit different because of Covid, but it was still an amazing trip! Emmy ended up staying home with Joey because she does not sleep well at all at hotels.  Gracie was spending some time at her grandparents house in Buena Vista, so it just ended up being the four oldest kids who went.
The Gaylord does a lot of fun family activities at night.  They did Bingo and trivia.  Ella was a Bingo champ and won two times!  The trivia was a lot of fun.
We spent the second day at the pool.  My mom rented a cabana, and it was really nice to get to relax by the pool while the kids had a great time swimming.  We originally had planned to only stay one night.  We were having such a good time, we decided to stay a second night.  We got to play some more Bingo and do some more trivia. I think we all won at Bingo that night.
Even though we didn't go far, it truly felt like we were on vacation and it was just what I needed before heading back to work.
