This Week

This week was another busy one. We had a very busy weekend, and I will be posting a few posts about it. I took Ashlyn to the doctor this morning because she wasn't feeling well yesterday. She has been doing the croup barking cough. This scares me because of the time she was hospitalized for croup. So, the doctor said it is croup but gave her a steroid to take for the next few days so it doesn't get bad again. The only problem is that it is contagious and I have to attempt to keep her from touching and kissing Dawson too much. This is proving to be quite difficult. I pray for a speed recovery for Ashlyn and that Dawson does not catch it.

Dawson has discovered is hands in the last week. He is now putting them in his mouth all the time and even starting to suck on his arm like Ashlyn did. I hope that he doesn't continue the arm sucking like Ashlyn did. I am attempting to move Dawson out of our room so maybe the both of us can start sleeping better. I hate to move him because the AAP says that the safest place for a baby to sleep is in the same room as the parents. I have decided to start slowly. Today I put him in his crib for his morning nap. He watched his little aquarium and fell asleep. He slept there about an hour. Not bad for the first try. I think I will continue just doing naps in his crib until he is at least 4 months old. I hate to be too far away from him.
