Running

   Joey made this lovely collage of me running in different races this year.  I have decided I am the most unphotogenic runner ever.  I am now making it my New Year's resolution to work on making better faces for the cameras during races.  Ugh some of these are horrible!!! LOL.  Anyways, as the year comes to an end its fun to reflect on all the races I did this year.  I am continuing with my training and can not wait to see what next year brings in terms of my running.  As I said before, I accomplished more than I every thought possible this year in running, so I look forward to another year.  

    I have talked about the series I ran this year several times.  I really enjoyed it.  It consists of five different races.  It begins on St. Patrick's Day and ends in October.  They total up all of your times.  I ended up getting 3rd place overall for the women!  I am extremely proud of this accomplishment!  My brother told me when it started that he thought I could get top three .  I totally did not believe him.  The woman who got second and I went back and forth the whole series.  She ended up beating me by a little in the end.  I can't wait to try to beat her this year.  I wasn't able to go to the awards banquet because I was in Vegas.  When I picked up my award, I was very happy to see that I had won a free pair of Brooks running shoes!!! I have heard amazing things about Brooks shoes and I have been dying to get a pair.  I got a gift certificate to pick any pair in the store.  I went with the new Pure Flows 2.  I tried them for the first time today and I am in love!  I think I like them that much more because I won them through all my hard work and dedication!
