Misc. Arizona Trip

Here are a few last random pictures we took that really didn't fit into any of the blog posts.

The neighborhood our house is in.  So beautiful.

You can't beat Arizona sunsets.

We always make several trips to In and Out

We used to go to this restaurant when I was young when we vacationed in Arizona.  They had the biggest sundaes.  We took the kids back there last trip and decided it is a tradition that we need to continue.  Their sundaes are so good and all named after places in Colorado. Yum!

We got to make a trip to Lolo's Chicken and Waffles which has the best fried chicken.

On the last day, Ashlyn finally got to go swimming at my grandma's pool.  She had such a good time.

Coolest Park Ever

After the race on Sunday, my brother was doing his cooldown around the park and saw a really neat playground that he knew the kids would just love.  We didn't get a chance to go that day.  My sister and Jameson were supposed to fly home on Wednesday, so we headed to the park and planned to meet my brother and mom after they dropped them off at the airport nearby.  Due to a massive blizzard in Colorado, their flight ended up getting cancelled and they got to spend two more days on vacation.  It was a little stressful for my sister arranging work, etc. but in the end it ended up working well.  They just hitched a ride back home with us on Friday.
Anyways, the park was one of the coolest parks we have ever been to.  It had such unique playground equipment that I have never seen anywhere else.  There was so much for the kids to do.  The weather was a little cooler, so the park was not crowded.  We ended up spending about two hours playing there while we figured out if my sister needed to be picked up from the airport or not.  I am so happy we discovered this wonderful new park.  We will definitely be making a trip pack during our next visit.
This park had literally the biggest slide I have ever seen at a park.  It was so tall.  It was the size of a water slide.  The kids had so much fun running up the stairs and going down the slide.  Gracie really liked it too and I took her down many times.

The biggest slide in Arizona

It even had a real zipline that the kids loved

Museum Day

On Tuesday, we decided to have a museum day.  There is a science center that I took Ashlyn to years ago when she was only like 2 years old.  It was neat, but she was way too young to really enjoy it.  Ashlyn loves science so much, that I figured another trip was in order.  Since Ashlyn was going, Ella decided to the the science center too.  Joey, Katy, and the younger kids all went to the Children's Museum since we knew they would have fun there.
The science center was pretty fun,  I was a little disappointed by how small it was.  I am spoiled by different Denver museums that we love that you could spend days in.  It was also very crowded with school groups on field trips which consisted of a lot of kids with little supervision.  We still had a great time checking out all the different areas.  They had a lot of interactive areas that the girls had fun with.  Our favorite part was a storm area which showed a movie and had interactive weather effects for all different types of storms.
The rest of the group had a really good time at the Children's Museum.  After our museum time, we picked up my grandma and had a really good lunch at Chelsea's Kitchen.  The food was wonderful.  We ended our afternoon visiting with my grandma and spending time in the backyard .  It was a great day.

Checking out what a brain really looks like

This was the girls favorite part.  They put on these special helmets and were able to move a ball with their brain waves.

This allowed you to move the magnifying glass over the human body and see what it looks like in the inside
