The best day ever had finally arrive: departure day!!!! We decided that we only wanted to fly out of the Colorado Springs airport. DIA is always a nightmare, and Colorado Springs is so convenient and easy to fly out of. Our flight left at 6:50 A.M., so we had to be up bright and early. The kids literally sprung out of bed and were ready to go without a single complaint, we were going to Disney World after all!
We headed to the airport and the shuttle pulled up right behind us and we loaded in our bags. Then he stopped for another family, which turned out to be the Leones.

There was no line at the ticket counter and the security lines weren't bad at all. We got held up due to some items in our carryons. Apparently baby wipes are something that gets flagged because they are almost a liquid? Ashlyn also had her spending money with her, which unbeknownst to us, contained a TON of change which they couldn't see through. After security, we went to the gate and grabbed some breakfast pastries to hold us over until our layover.

Emmy ready to do some traveling! |
My sister recently got a Circuit machine which allows her to design and create vinyl designs for shirts. She worked endlessly to make shirts for all the kids for every day. I can't tell you the amount of planning that went into all these shirts. She did such a good job and they all turned out so cute. It was so much fun getting the kids dressed every day. Matching shirts have become quite the thing at Disney World. Literally every family wore them everywhere there. I can't get over how popular they have become. On our first day, they all wore, "I can't keep calm I'm going to Disney World".

We flew Delta on the way out, which is a nice airline. All the headrests have tvs with an endless supplies of movies and games to pick from. It was a really nice treat! I thought that Emmy would definitely take a good nap on the flight since she had woken up around 4:00 a.m. Of course, she did the exact opposite. She was wide awake and did not want to nap for anything. She did really good though and Joey and pretty much passed her back and forth the entire flight to Atlanta. I think she finally fell asleep about 10 minutes before we landed which Joey and I totally predicted.

These two were sure having fun! |

Our layover was in Atlanta. The airport there is really nice. We had a long enough layover that we were able to grab Chick Fil A for lunch. Our gate was right next to Coffee Bean, so we are all very excited to get our Coffee Bean fix. The second flight was super quick. I think we were only in the air for about 60 minutes. Emmy did great, but did not sleep again. Before we knew it, we were in Orlando and getting on the Fake-O-Rail to take us to the Magic Express Buses.

The lines for the Magic Express are always so long. As we were getting in line, Joey said to me "I always hate this part". A worker overhead him and told us he was going to make it better and he scanned us in and we skipped very long line! We didn't wait long, and we were on the bus. Emmy did fall asleep and managed to get in about a 30 minute nap.

Finally getting some sleep |
We had a quick ride to our hotel, the Beach Club. Our trip planner had requested that all of our rooms be next to one another and with balconies. We were pretty disappointed to learn that Joey and I's room was not next to the other two and we had teeny tiny Juliet style balconies. We were able to move rooms on Monday with a nice big balcony. We checked out our rooms quickly and we were ready to have some Disney fun!
We booked some fast passes just in case we felt up to riding once we arrived. Of course, we were al dying to go on some rides. We took the very short walk over to Epcot. Most of us got to ride Soaring. It was a great first ride. Jameson and Gracie had never ridden before and they absolutely loved it. After Soaring, we decided to go on Nemo because everyone could ride it including Emmy.

Emmy really liked her first Disney ride |
After our rides, we walked back over to the Beach Club. I just love being so close to Epcot. We definitely took advantage of it over the course of our trip.
Our dinner reservations were for Cape May which is conveniently located in the Beach Club. They couldn't get us all at one table, so the kids got one table and the adults had one right next to it. The food was delicious and they had lots of seafood. I think all the adults ate their weight in crab legs. It was the perfect ending to a very long day of travel!

Enjoying the many desserts |
After dinner, we had to go get our drink mugs and grab some sodas from the soda machine.
After dinner, we headed back to our rooms. Joey and Bryan took an Uber to Target to get snacks and various supplies for the week. Gracie and Dawson fell asleep immediately. Emmy having only taken a 30 minute nap was so overly tired at this point. There was a pack n play in the room, but she refused to sleep in it and just screamed. Joey eventually got back from Target and she was still awake. He put her in the stroller and walked her around the boardwalk until she finally fell asleep. Unfortunately for Joey, this would become a nightly activity to get her to sleep. We have discovered that Emmy does not like to sleep anywhere other than her own crib.
