Ashlyn was a very early talker. She began talking at an early age, and hasn't stopped since. Dawson definitely is less talkative than his sister. Since Ashlyn was so advanced verbally, it has worried me a bit with Dawson. However, I am discovering he definitely knows a lot of words and can say them, he just doesn't talk often. We have heard "doggy", "Ella", "up", "bye" , to name a few. The other day he was sitting on my lap as we looked at Ashlyn's school pictures on the computer. Joey was scrolling through the pictures and when he came to Ashlyn's, he pointed and said, "Sissy!" I loved it! I am not worried and know that he will be going through a language explosion in the next couple of months and we will soon have two children to entertain us with what they have to say. For now, I'm sort of enjoying the quiet.
Dawson continues to love to climb. He can now climb onto our bed which is a very high bed. He is such a climber and I pray that he doesn't figure out a way to climb out of his crib the way his sister did. He loves going to the park and climbing there.
Ashlyn has had her "blankie" that she has been very attached to since she was a baby. She won't go any where without "her" and is extremely attached. Well, when I was pregnant with Dawson, Joey insisted that we get Dawson a blanket too from the same company that Ashlyn's is from. I have used the blanket with Dawson since he was born, but he was never too attached to it. Well, in the last month or so, he has become very attached to it. He has to have it to sleep. When I go to get him in the morning, he grabs it before I pick him up. He has also started to carry it around with him whenever he can. I think we have created another blanket monster! I do find it odd how much both of them love their blankies.
I am going to wrap up this post or I would go on forever with different things Dawson is doing or reasons why he is the world's cutest, sweetest, and most perfect boy! I love him so much!!!
