This past weekend was the annual MS walk. As usual, Joey did such a phenomenal job raising money for such an important cause. It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of others in supporting the cause. Our team did really well this year and as usual, we are very, very proud of Joey. This year's walk was wonderful. The weather could not have been any nicer. They had great food and refreshments for before, during, and after the race. They even had dog bones for dogs doing the walk. I ran a race that morning, so we weren't as organized as usual. Some how we only managed to take a few pictures which makes me sad.
Besides the walk, we had a great week. I signed Ashlyn up for soccer and she is so excited to try it out. She will play on Thursdays during June and July. I can't wait to watch her on the field. She reads a book to us every night and I swear she gets smarter each and every day.
Dawson has been talking up a storm this week. He has said, "backpack" and "thank you" to name a few. When Joey pushed him on the swing the other night, he let out a "Weeeee!" He has also started to shake his head "no" when he doesn't want something. This has been huge, because for the first time I can really figure out what he wants or doesn't want.
Ashlyn and I watched fireworks out of my bedroom window on Friday night. We had such a great time just watching them while giggling and whispering to one another in the moonlight. It was one of those times I will cherish forever.
Here are some pictures from the week.
*I plan on blogging about my race tomorrow. I am torn about starting a separate blog about my running. Joey says that I should blog about it here, but I really want this blog to be about the kids and what we are up to each week. I want to share more about running, but don't want to fill the blog up with posts no one cares to read. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Our attempt at a family picture. Dawson was sleeping in the stroller. |

Joey got VIP parking and even had a spot with his name in front of it. Pretty cool. |

Our backyard is absolutely perfect in the evening. The sun moves behind the house so it is very shaded and cool back there. The other night was just beautiful, so we headed outside to enjoy the weather. We had a great time playing. |

Dawson loved sitting at the top of the slide waiting to go. |

Ashlyn had a blast throwing the ball for Alli |

Ashlyn loves having someone to play with |

We gave Dawson corn on the cob for the first time. He literally devoured it! He could not get enough. I think it's something we will be eating a lot of this summer. |

Ashlyn too loves corn on the cob |

Today, Ella was pulling Dawson around the house on his tractor. It was the cutest thing and I had to take a picture. |
