Fishy Tales

    I want to get better about posting funny stories or anecdotes about the kids.  Ashlyn is at that age where she says and does some pretty funny stuff.  I want to write about it so I don't forget it over the years. 
   While we were in Arizona over spring break, my sister and I were explaining to Ashlyn how Katy used to love to swim.  We told her she was like a fish and never wanted to get out of the pool.  Well, Ashlyn turned that into thinking Katy really turned into a fish.  She kept asking us all of these questions, and we started to make up a story.  Ashlyn loves it when I tell her made up stories that involve her, Dawson and Ella.  I thought this was no different and she knew that it was just a silly story.  Well, she is constantly asking me to tell her that story where Auntie turned into a fish over and over.  Now when she is in the bathtub, she always asks if I see any scales that are starting to appear.  I always check, and reassure her that she is fine.  The other day, she informed my sister that she need to start checking Ella for scales.  She said that they look like half moons and that she better start checking her.  It's a silly story, but it is cute how much Ashlyn gets into it.  I love her so much!!! This is something I want to remember for years to come.
