Disney World - Day 3 Touring the World

On our second day, we headed to Epcot.  It was also a special day because it was  Joey's birthday.  I kept telling him how lucky he was to spend his birthday in Disney World.  I think it made for a great birthday for him.
It was so nice to be able to walk to Epcot and not take buses.  We were the first people in the park again that day.  I love being early.

Our first stop was Soarin.  This is my mom's favorite ride.  Unfortunately, the little kids weren't tall enough to ride.  So, we all took turns riding while the rest of the group got some breakfast.

Next time they will be able to ride

What a happy birthday boy!

Eating breakfast.  Bryan being silly as usual.

After breakfast, we rode Living of the Land.  Its a simple ride but I love it.  You ride on boats through different gardens that they grow at Epcot.  The kids liked it too.

After the Land pavilion, we headed over the the Nemo ride.  I love this ride because it never has a line and the kids absolutely love it.  We rode it several times during our visit.  When you get off the ride, you exit through the big aquarium which was a huge hit with the kids.  We spent a lot of time looking at fish.

We then decided to head over to the World Showcase.  The World Showcase is the neat part of Epcot that features a bunch of different countries.  Each country has authentic food and drink, shops, restaurants, shows, etc.  It really does feel like visiting a bunch of different countries especially since the workers in each country are from that country.  Joey had picked to to the German restaurant for his birthday.  We have gone the last two trips and we always really enjoy it.  We had a great meal as usual.  The German restaurant has a live German band that performs.  They invite guests to come and dance.  The kids all decided to go an dance.  They had an absolute blast.  Jameson was Mr. Fancy Feet and was really cutting a rug.  We were all in hysterics watching his dance a way.  It was a highlight of the trip.  The kids had so much fun they kept asking to go back to the dancing restaurant.

We ended our day with a ride on Spaceship Earth.  Its a ride that you ride inside the famous Epcot ball.  I love this ride so much.  It takes you through communication through different eras of time.  The kids loved this ride.  Dawson keeps telling everyone it was his favorite.  Any time they saw that ball, we had to take a ride.
I love this sight!
Joey and Dawson.  The ride has computers in each car.  In the beginning of the ride they take your picture and at the end you can plan what your life will be like in the future.  Dawson LOVED this part.
For dinner that night, we left Epcot and headed over the Boardwalk.  They have an excellent bakery where we all got dinner.  Their desserts were amazing!

Such a happy little boy

Cutest face in the world

Jameson's hair got so curly from the humidity.  It was pretty cute!

The Boardwalk is a hotel you can stay at.

We were always exhausted by the end of the day after walking several miles in the hot heat and humidity.  So, we generally went to bed pretty early.  That night, Joey decided to go down to Downtown Disney with Ashlyn.  They got to have some special daddy/daughter time.    Its a neat place full of neat shops and restaurants.  I'm kind of bummed I didn't make it down there this trip.  They had a great time.
