Disney World - Day 7 The Day Some Princesses Joined Us

Sadly, it was already our last full day in Disney World.  We all could not believe how fast our trip had gone.  Why does time move so much quicker in Disney World? I'm guessing because you are going constantly.  We were all a little sad that day because we were so not ready to go home the next day.  We managed to put our sadness aside, and still have a great day.  We knew we wanted to spend our last full day in the Magic Kingdom.  There is just so much to see and do there.  Honestly, I think you could definitely spend three days in Magic Kingdom.
We started our day as usual, by getting to the park way before it opened.  It just worked really well for us because we actually did avoid a lot of crowds.  We got to enjoy the opening ceremony again.  Ashlyn really wanted to ride Splash Mountain again.  I was more than happy to go with her.  When they opened, we headed in the that direction.  We ended up riding it 3 times in a row because there was literally not a soul around.  We also rode Big Thunder Railroad which we both really liked.  Everyone else went to get breakfast and they rode Peter Pan.  Ashlyn and I had such fun riding Splash Mountain over and over.

After a few more rides, it was time for the girls to head to the moment they had been waiting months for: the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  This is a very special hair and dress-up place for girls.  They get to go in and get their hair, makeup, and nails done like a princess. We have seen many girls with their makeovers on previous trips, the girls just weren't old enough.  We decided that it was definitely time for them to go.  They were so excited to turn into princesses.  They had such a great time and they make it so much fun for them.  I think they really felt special.  The best part was that they got sashes, princess bags, and nail polish and makeup from their visits.  They also got to walk around all day looking like royalty.  They wanted to look their best for their very special meeting later that day. I am posting a ton of pictures because in addition to our pictures, a Disney photographer took a bunch as well.

We were nervous they wouldn't like having their hair pulled back to tightly, but they didn't care at all

Lots of pampering

Look at that beautiful princess!

A trip wouldn't be complete without the Teacups

We ate lunch at a new restaurant that we all really liked.  After lunch, it was time for some more rides.  The crowds were amazing that day.  I could not get over how short the lines were for everything.  I think we managed to ride like 15 rides that day, which is super impressive for Magic Kingdom.

I love the teacups

Then it was time for Dumbo

Gracie got to ride and really enjoyed it

We had one last Fast Pass to use for Space Mountain, so we rode one last time.  It was raining pretty heavily when we got in line, so that's why Ashlyn and I have ponchos on.  I love  Bryan's silliness in this one.  The guys seem to have a running competition going to see who can make the funniest face in the ride pictures.

It had been overcast all day but it wasn't raining.  We had only truly encountered rain for about 45 minutes one day that week.  For a week were rain was predicted all week, we felt very lucky.  That afternoon is started to rain on and off.  It was very sporadic for most of the afternoon.  It started to really pour just as we were getting to leave, so again I feel that we got pretty lucky with rain.

I had mentioned earlier, that my sister and I stayed up late the night we were able to book our Fast Passes.  The reason for this was the girls really, really wanted to meet Elsa and Anna.  The standby line is usually like 225 minutes.  Elsa and Anna Fast Passes are the most coveted in all of Disney World and we were lucky to grab some for the girls.  We didn't get Fast Passes for all of us so Joey, Katy, Ashlyn, and Ella went.  I think meeting Elsa and Anna was like meeting two celebrities for them.  Joey said while they were waiting Ashlyn was telling Ella all about what she should say and do when they met them.  Joey said it was funny because when they met them, Ashlyn totally clammed up.  My sister said that Elsa and Anna were great with them and interacted really well.  The girls loved every minute and I think it was definitely a highlight for them.

Meeting Elsa

Such a special moment

Hugs from Elsa

I love Anna.  Katy said their personalities were just like they are in the movie

After meeting Elsa and Anna, we stopped to have a quick dinner.  There were still a few more rides we wanted to squeeze in before our day was over.  We had to ride Haunted Mansion. We also rode Mine Train one last time.  Ella and Dawson were just barely tall enough to ride Mine Train.  The first day we went, the worker who checked Ella's height was able to slide a thin card between her head and her stick, so she said she couldn't ride.  Dawson loved it and we really wanted Ella to have a chance to ride.  We had her practice standing on her tiptoes to make herself a little "taller".  She was great and they let her on.  I'm so glad she got to ride because it was her favorite ride of the whole trip and my sister said her giggles throughout the entire ride were just priceless.
Loved this ride.  The kids wanted to ride again and again but the line was way too long.

It was raining heavily so that's why I look like a odd ball wearing my poncho.

Such great memories.

Papa clearly liked this one.

Here is a video of us riding Mine Train.

After Mine Train, it was raining pretty hard.  It was almost 6:30 and the park was closing at 7:00.  We wanted to get back to our hotel early so we could pack.  We sadly left Magic Kingdom.  We had such a great day and rode so many rides, and most of all created some wonderful memories.
