Disney World - Day 5 A Jedi Joined the Family

On Wednesday, we spent our day at Hollywood Studios.  I love this park and I was so excited to finally get to go there.  We started the day bright and early with breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery.  After breakfast, we were able to make a short walk over to Hollywood Studios.  It wasn't as close as Epcot, but it was not a far walk.  It was so nice to be able to take walk to some parks and not have to take crowded buses.

All ready for another day of fun.  Gracie looks so tiny!

They were wearing matching shirts again.  This was another morning that attempts at pictures turned out pretty foggy because of humidity.

They love each other so much.

The boys hanging together waiting for the park to open.
Since we got to the park super early, we had some time to kill.  We had to take some Frozen pictures.

This is the point where we all went separate ways for a little bit.  Joey, my dad, and Ashlyn headed to Jedi to sign Ashlyn up.  The rest of us headed to Toy Story Mania in hopes of riding before the lines got crazy.  There were so many people heading to that ride that it became mass chaos.  We all got separated a bit.  My mom and I ended up in line with no one else. Since the line was fairly short, we ended up riding Toy Story with Gracie.  We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The rest of the group headed over to ride Rock N' Roller Coaster while the line was short.  Ashlyn was so excited to ride this roller coaster as she wasn't tall enough last trip.  This roller coaster is definitely the most intense in all of Disney World.  It launches you in the beginning from 0-60 mph in a matter of 2 seconds.  Ashlyn was not afraid at all and ended up LOVING it.
At this point it started to rain heavily.  This was the first rain we had seen and it was Wednesday.  We had been carrying ponchos and umbrellas with us each day, so we were more than prepared.  We were worried it would rain all day, but it only ended up raining about 45 minutes.  It really cooled things down and made for a really nice day weather wise.

My favorite Disney roller coaster
This ride is crazy!

Silly!

This is a picture from when we rode later in the day.

This is us on Tower of Terror.

Luckily, we all had Fast Passes to ride Toy Story.  That ride is just the best and everyone enjoys it.  Its a 3D shooting game and you can compete with the person sharing a car with you.  We always have fun with some friendly competition.

The line for this ride is the coolest and themed so well.

This was Joey and Dawson's scores.

After Toy Story, it was time for Ashlyn's Jedi Training Academy.  She did it last time and loved it.  She was really excited to do it again.  They only have a certain amount of spots each day, and they fill up super fast.  Thanks to Joey's great job, she got a spot.  She got to train, fight Darth Vader, and was officially a Jedi when she was done.

A highly coveted ticket

Fighting with Dark Vader.  She was much less timid this time.  The boys were so funny.  They clearly had a lot more fighting experience and really gave Darth Vader a run for his money!

A real Jedi

For dinner that night, we ate at one of our favorite Disney restaurants.   We have been eating here for as long as I can remember.   It's called 50s Prime Time Cafe.  It is decorated to look just like 50s kitchens.  It is so much fun!  The food is all home style food and it is really good.  The servers are what make the meal.  They put on a whole act that is really funny.  They pretend like they are family members and tell you to eat your veggies, give you grief for having elbows on the table, etc.  We have discovered some are much better than others.   Last time, our waitress left a lot to be desired and instead of being funny, she was just mean.
This time we got an excellent server.  He was "Cousin Jon".  He came out and was in such character the entire time.  He informed all of us that he expected us to eat our vegetables if we wanted dessert and no funny business.  The kids were so funny.  Cousin Jon immediately asked Ashlyn what her name was .   While he was talking, they were all wide eyed and shaking their heads in agreement.  I have never seen them that well behaved!  My sister joked that we needed to take him home with us.  LOL.  When our food arrived, the kids ate better than they ever have.  Ashlyn ate her green beans right away.  She kept telling us she wanted her dessert.  She ended up cleaning her entire plate which is rare for her.  When she showed Cousin Jon, he told her how proud he was of her.  He then called attention to the entire section we were sitting in and told them he had a member of the clean plate club.  Ashlyn had the biggest smile on her face the whole time.  Everyone clapped for her.  When I was her age I would've been so embarrassed, but she said she loved it.
The food is always good there, but that time is was excellent.  We all agreed it was one of the best meals we had.  It was such a great experience all around.

They even have TVs to watch that play old shows.  So much fun!

At this restaurant, you can get a milkshake for you drink.  They have a peanut butter and jelly milkshake which is honestly one of the best I have ever had.

Gracie was wearing her Minnie dress I got her in Canton.

The pot roast, that I was told was amazing.  I had the fried chicken which was so good.

Look at those kids eat!

Bryan was hungry!

Such great smiles

We are always missing someone!

Nice picture of the 4 of us.

After dinner, Joey and Bryan headed back with the boys.  The rest of us decided we wanted to ride something else.  We headed over to Toy Story again and saw the line wasn't too bad . We rode one last time and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.  We had a great day full of fun and laughter.
