Our community center had a big Christmas tree lighting event last night. The kids really wanted to go to see Santa. Dawson and and Ashlyn made it very clear that they know that is not the real Santa. Graceyn is at that perfect Christmas age and still believes in all that is Christmas and she was beside herself to see Santa. We were some of the first people there, so the kids got a pretty special interaction with Santa. He talked to them, read them The Night Before Christmas, and they even sang a song together. When he was done, they got a chance to sit on his lap and tell them what he wanted. Gracie even hand delivered their letters to Santa. Afterwards, the kids got to decorate some cookies. Dawson went a little overboard with the sprinkles, but fun was had by all!
