Gracie's First Nuggets Game

We got to a lot of Nuggets game, and we try to mix it up with taking the kids.  Gracie expressed interest in wanting to come to a game.  Katy graciously offered to babysit Ashlyn and Emmy for us while we went.  It was an afternoon game, so it was the perfect game to take Gracie to.  We had club level seats and it is always fun sitting in club level.  We grabbed some food when we got up there before getting to our seats.  Grace had an absolute blast at the game and she was asking in the car on the way home when she got to go to another game.  It was a great time.

Skate City

Over winter break, Katy and I decided to take the kids skating one afternoon.  We went to Skate City, which is where I went skating when I grew up.  It is so nostalgic to me because I swear the place has not changed at all.   It was Gracie's first time skating and she was so excited to go.  We started with just having her wheels locked.  She was not nearly steady enough, and we quickly realized that we need to get her a trainer to hold onto.  It took her a bit, but she quickly got the hang of skating.  She loved it and can't to come back.

DeLorme Family Presents

Last year, we tried some new for Christmas.  We left all of Joey and I's presents for the kids at our house.  In the past we would bring them all over to my parents house to open on Christmas morning and then haul them all back home.  We decided it would be much easier to just leave them at home and open them on Christmas Day night.  We like this much better because we aren't hauling as many presents back and forth and since it's less chaotic, we can actually see the kids open their gifts.  They were spoiled as usual and all seemed very happy with their gifts.  Like last year, their final gift was a scavenger hunt for their big gift.  Their big gift this year was finding out we are going to Disneyland for Spring Break.  They weren't nearly as excited as I thought they would be, but I think it is hard for them to get too excited for a trip that won't be happening for several months.

Elf

Much to the kids delight, our elves came back this holiday season to create mischief around the house.  The kids were so excited when the elves finally arrived.  They had been talking about their arrival for weeks.  As usual, we woke up every morning to see what they had done the night before.  The kids were sad to see them go Christmas Eve.  I am sure they will be back next Christmas for more fun.

The kids got a kick out of this one!

They drew on all of our faces

Some days they brought treats

They did some gross things some nights

On this night, they left lots of cups upside down.  A few had chocolates under them and they had to find the chocolates.  They loved it!

Silly elves

They decided to be Hershey Kisses

Naughty elf got into the gingerbread house

Like they do every year, they managed to draw on Joey's face while he was sleeping.

On Christmas Eve, we found them at my parent's house with matching Christmas pajamas for everyone
