Christmas Eve

We spend Christmas Eve at my parent's house every year.  We keep it very low-key and it is one of my favorite days all year long.  We spend the day much like I did when I was growing up.  I just love all the palpable excitement in the air.  We always spend the day eating yummy food and spending time together.  We got a Christmas puzzle and the kids, my Dad and I worked on it most of the day.  While we worked on the puzzle, we watched Christmas movies.  It was the best way to spend our day!  We even finished the puzzle!  As it got close to bedtime, we all put on the matching pajamas the elves left us.  We did our best to get a family picture which was next to impossible.  The kids put out the milk and cookies and then they were ready for bed.  I think they were all in bed asleep by 9:30.  They had a busy day the next day and they knew the sooner they fell asleep, the sooner it would Christmas!!!
