Eddie Buddy Pt. 2

Our dear elf, Eddie Buddy contained his silly antics throughout the entire month of December.  Each morning we awoke to something else silly he had done the night before.  As usual, we were sad to see him going on Christmas Eve.  Luckily, he still makes appearances for birthdays as well.  Here are some pictures of what he did.

Apparently he thinks toilet paper makes a good snow man

One morning we awoke to this over our family picture.  He is a pretty decent artist.

Always making messes.  Ashlyn loves it when he makes a mess.

He must have done something really bad to make the army men this mad

He got festive with the toilet

Checking out what he did

Apparently he got caught in a slinky one night

He made the kitchen look extra festive with some bows

One night we watched the movie Elf, and the next day we could not believe that he made the same breakfast as in the movie.  What an unhealthy breakfast!!!

The note he left after Ashlyn left his some wrapped candy.

They love it when he brings snowman donuts

They really got a kick out of the Minion bananas

The kids always love a good hunt.  They found all 12 candy canes and he hid some quite well!

On this day he left the supplies to make trees along with a note from Santa

What a mess!!! This elf needs to leave the toilet paper alone!!!

Silly boy

One morning, we awoke to this note "I left you a present on your mom's phone".  The kids immediately checked my phone and found he had taken selfies with us as we were all sleeping!!!

For some reason he chose to really get Joey.  He drew all over his face.  He came downstairs and did not know that his face was drawn all over.  They got such a kick out of it.

This was very hard to wash off!

Such a sneaky one
Facetiming with Santa.

Near Christmas, we found this note that the elf must have inadvertently dropped on his way back to the North Pole.  The kids were quite concerned that he was reporting the state of their messy rooms.  A thorough cleanup quickly commenced.

The elf thought it would be funny to put our entire Christmas tree on the table.  So silly!

Return of Eddie Buddy

The day after Thanksgiving, our mischievous little elf. Eddie Buddy showed up.  Ashlyn found him in his usual box on the back steps.  The kids were jumping for joy when they saw him.  As usual, he has been creating a lot of mischief around our house.  We all have such a good time waking up every morning to see what our elf has done.  I will update closer to Christmas with the rest of his antics.

So happy to have her elf back

Can you guess which ornament is Dawson's?

Loves his ornaments

Gracie loved decorating the tree

One night the elf left magic seeds.  The kids were instructed to plant them in this pot with sugar.  The next morning, they were so delighted to see that they had grown into cookies!

He really liked the tree.  This day he brought all the kids advent calendars.

Thanksgiving Week

We had wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had fun getting in the spirit in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.  We bought a gingerbread turkey kit at Trader Joe's.  The kids and I had a great time constructing and decorating a turkey.  The rest of the week was spent relaxing and enjoying not having to worry about work or school.  We needed a week of rest!  Oh, I guess it also included a lot of shopping for me as well.
We spent Thanksgiving at my parent's house.  The weather was not good at all this year.  In fact it even snowed for the first time in quite a while.  I did not run the Turkey Trot and we weren't able to drive out to Buena Vista.  It was quite different having such a snowy and gloomy Thanksgiving.
Despite the cold weather outside, it was warm inside and we had a good day spent with family.  My mom and I cooked the meal and while it was a lot of work, everything turned out really good.  We spent the day watching the parade, eating, and hanging out with one another.  My mom, sister, and I ended the day with some shopping.  Yes, we braved the crowds and got some good deals.
It was a perfect Thanksgiving and such a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for.

So excited for the gingerbread turkey

Ready for some fun

It was quite the messy project that's for sure

Ashlyn pitched in this year and helped peel potatoes.  Too bad she did such a good job and that will be her permanent job.

My grandma makes the world's best cherry pie.  It was my favorite as a girl, and my kids have inherited my love for it.  Apparently Gracie liked it too!
