Emmy at 2 years old

     It is so hard to believe that our baby is now two years old!  I am even sadder to admit that she is no longer a baby.  Although, she will always, always be my baby.  She is now a toddler and becoming quite an independent little girl.  She loves getting into anything and everything.  She realized that she can use a kitchen chair to get to things she is not supposed to have.  Emmy's favorite thing in the world is books.  She "reads" her books all the time.  She insists on having a stack of books in her crib every time she goes down for a nap or bed.  She will lay there and look at her books until she falls asleep.  Emmy also really enjoys playing wit her toys and making messes around the house.  I swear that girl can take a clean house and turn it into a messy chaotic house in under a minute!  She loves to spread her things all over the house.   She also really loves shoes and is always putting on everyone's shoes and wearing them around the house.  She is a very silly little girl!  She is also so very sweet and affectionate.  Every day when I get home from work, she greets me at the door with a big hug and a smile.  She insists I give her a hug and a kiss every day before I leave for work.  She is my sunshine and truly such an amazing little girl.  She has completed our family in the most perfect way.  She definitely adds excitement and joy to our lives every single day.  We love you Emersyn!!!!

Joey takes Emmy to Gracie's school once a week and they eat lunch there.  Joey said all the cafeteria employees just love her and they give her a tray so she can eat her lunch like a big kid.

Gingerbread House

   The kids had been eagerly waiting for the elf to bring the gingerbread house.  He brings one every year and they just love decorating it.  The kids had a great time decorating the house with lots of frosting and candy.   A lot of sampling was done to make sure that the candy tasted okay. 

Nuggets Courtside

     Since we had such a good time last year, Joey and I decided to get Nuggets court side tickets for a game in December.  It was a Christmas and birthday present to me.  We were able to get a babysitter for overnight, so we stayed in the night in a hotel across the street from the Pepsi Center.  With court side tickets, you get to go into the Lexus Club.  They have a really good buffet and free drinks.  The game was a great one and the Nuggets won which made the experience even better!  Joey and I love spoiling ourselves once a year with the court side experience.  It is a lot of fun and a great experience.  We plan on doing it every year.

The view from court side is so different.  You aren't looking down on the players, so it feels like you are on the court with them.  

After the game, we went back to the Lexus club for dessert.

  Joey did such a nice job decorating the house with lights this year.  I just love having the house decorated on the inside as well as the outside.  Here are some pictures. 

Gram's Birthday

    We recently got to celebrate a really special lady's birthday.  We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  Afterwards, we went to my parents house for cake and presents.  We are all so lucky to have Gram in our lives.  Happy birthday!!!

Garden of the Gods Field Trip

    Dawson's class went on a field trip to the Garden of the Gods.  Joey was able to go along as a chaperone.  We are so lucky to have somewhere as beautiful as Garden of the Gods right in our own backyard.
