Last weekend was a very laid back weekend for us. We are trying to enjoy the calm before the very busy and fun summer weekends we have planned. Joey took Dawson and Ashlyn to Garden of the Gods one day. They did some hiking and Joey snapped some great pictures of the kids. What a beautiful place to take pictures.
On Sunday, we went to a birthday party for Jacob at the park by our house. We had a great time seeing everyone and the kids love that park. Our only complaint was how cold it was. I will never get over how chilly it can still be in May in Colorado. It's like May is the month where mother nature can't quite make up her mind if it's going to be spring or summer.
I am all done with work for the school year. It's always very bitter sweet to have the school year end. After having a class for nine months, you become quite close to your class and they feel like your kids. You learn different personalities, likes, dislikes, etc. Then you say goodbye in May and start over with a new group in August. I plan on enjoying every second of my much earned break! Since Ashlyn will be starting full time school in August, we plan on making this summer extra fun!
