The posts are a bit out of order, but I wanted to post some pictures from the trip we took to Denver before school started. We always do an overnight Denver trip as a last hurrah before school starts. The kids love getting away and doing some extra special and fun stuff.
We started our trip at this amazing park in Castle Rock. We discovered it this summer and could not get over how cool it is and how much there is to do. The kids had a blast playing on all the unique equipment. Ashlyn and I opted to do a obstacle/ropes course that you paid to do. The course is very safe, yet very terrifying at the same time. The course is very high up and I conquered a lot of my fears that day. Ashlyn and I had such a great time and definitely want to go back next summer. It was so much fun!

After the park, we headed up to Denver for some lunch and shopping.
The girls got to pick something from American Girl and the boys got
something from Lego. We then checked into our hotel. We got a big suite that had two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. It was plenty of room for all of us and the kids love staying at hotels. We then headed to dinner at White Fence Farm. We had never been there before, but heard it was great for kids. The kids really enjoyed playing on the playground there and looking at the farm animals. The food was good too.

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel. The kids had a blast running around the hotel room like crazy maniacs. The next morning, we were up bright and early. We headed to our favorite museum in Denver, the Denver Museum of Nature of Science. I have posted many times before about this museum. They are constantly featuring new exhibits that they move out frequently, so there is always something new to see. It is such a huge museum and we never even come close to seeing everything in a day. We had so much fun that we decided to become members. Now we can go whenever we want, and maybe cover the entire thing over the course of this next year. We stayed at the museum most of the day, and when we left it was time to head home. We all decided that next year we need to spend two nights in Denver because there is just too much to do in Denver. It was a perfect trip and the best ending to an incredible summer.
