Adam & Jane Visit

Two weeks ago, Uncle Adam and Aunt Jane were out here for their yearly trip.  We all look forward to their visit and getting to spend lots of time with them.  As usual, we squeezed in as much fun as we could with them.  Their visit always goes by way too quickly.  We were all sad to see them go.  Hopefully, next time we see them it will be for a visit in Texas.  Here are some pictures from their time here.

We had to take them to our favorite German restaurant.  We sat on the patio and had a great meal and all stuffed ourselves silly with yummy German food.

Not sure why Joey was taking random pics.  LOL

With three kids, it was much easier to spend a lot of time at home.  We set up the bounce house for the kids a couple of times and they had a great time jumping while we visited.

One morning, we headed to the nearby miniature golf course. We quickly realized that Gracie is way to young for mini golf, so Joey didn't golf and wrangled her instead.  We attempted to teach Ashlyn the proper way to hit the ball.  She didn't quite get the hang out of it.  Dawson picked it up pretty well and was getting the hang out of it.  We had fun golfing.

Dawson wanted to hit some balls so badly.

I gave it a shot, and even managed to hit quite a few balls.

Jane likes trying new breweries, so we went to a couple for them to check out.  My sister and mom watched the kids for a few hours so we could have some adult time.  We had a great time.

Joey, Adam, and Jane managed to even squeeze in a Sky Sox game while they were here.  They love baseball and had a good time at the game.

Adam and Jane left on Wednesday.  On Thursday, we drove up to Denver to spend the night.  We went to a Rockies game because Adam and Jane gave us tickets.  We quickly realized Rockies games can be very hot!  The kids were not the most interested in the game and we didn't end up staying too long.  We quickly learned, it will be a while before we attempt another Rockies game with the kids.  We stayed out a hotel in downtown Denver that was really neat.  We were on the 37th floor and it felt like we were in New York City.  We walked to dinner and ended the night with a swim.  It was such a fun stay!

We couldn't bring in a stroller, so Gracie got to ride in style on my back

On Friday morning, we woke up bright and early and drove to Golden.  Joey's dad got a very special promotion at work . He got promoted to a Master Trooper which only 10% of troopers achieve.  It was a very nice ceremony and I'm really glad we all got to be part of Don's special day.  We are all very proud of Master Trooper DeLorme.  We grabbed a quick lunch afterwards, and then it was finally time to say our final goodbye to Uncle Adam and Aunt Jane.  We can't wait to seem them again!
