Summer Adventures

Boy what a fun summer we are having!  We are squeezing in as much fun and adventure as we possibly can for we know how quickly summer ends.  I have been so bad about blogging because we have been super busy.  Luckily, I have been taking pictures like crazy so I have lots of posts coming up.
We have been having a great time.  My sister and I have been coming up with fun activities for the kids to do outdoors.  One day, we decided to make some slime.  It was so easy to make and the kids had such a fun time playing with it.  It was definitely a hit.
We have been going to the cabin every weekend we can.  We try not to plan anything on the weekends in the summer, but there are a couple of weekends where we can't make it up.  We have been having such a good time up there.  It is truly one of the best places on earth!   Here are some random pictures from a few weeks ago:

Checking it out

It was very slimey!

Here are some pictures from a few weekends ago at the cabin that I am just now getting around to posting.  This particular weekend it rained a lot.  It was pretty cold and wet, yet we still had a lot of fun.  We spent more time indoors, but it was still a weekend well spent.

You can always find Ashlyn on that swing.

Gracie loves going in and out of the door

Poor Gracie can't go down the stairs yet,

She is still all smiles

Checking out the bubbles

My parents bought the kids this giant bubble ball for Christmas.  We saved it for the cabin for the kids to chase after.

The bubble was so cool and the kids loved it.

They chased it for about 5 minutes, and then it popped! Such a bummer!!!

Going for a walk.  We do a lot of walking at the cabin.

Already a nature lover

This is outside the old one room school house that still stands near St. Elmo.  I love all the history we are surrounded by.

The cabin clearly wears them out.  The way they slept the night we got back.
