First trip to the cabin

    We finally got to spend our first weekend at the cabin this weekend.  We have waited a very long nine months to get back up there.  It felt so good to be at one of our favorite places again.  We decided to head up first thing Saturday morning.  When Dawson woke up, we told him we were going to the cabin and he about passed out from excitement.  He was so ready to go.
     We had the perfect time up there.  Gracie went last year, but she was way too young to really enjoy it.  She is finally at a good age for it.  She had so much fun.  I think he favorite part was running around outside and discovering all the new things to find.  She loved looking at rocks, twigs, grass, etc.  The weather was perfect and we had such a nice time soaking up the outdoors.  I love weekends where the kids don't watch a second of T.V. and just spend their time playing, exploring, and being kids.  We always have so much fun up there and discover new and fun things to do.  Joey and I were commenting how lucky our kids are to spend so much of their summers at such a spectacular place.  They are lucky to have such an awesome Papa!  Like always, they only bad part of the weekend was having to come home.   Fortunately, we will be back many times this summer.  Here are some of the pictures we took.

We stopped on the way up at Grandma and Grandpa DeLorme's house to see the new pony, Doc.  He is just the cutest thing in the world.  Gracie got such a kick out of sitting on him.  I can tell they are going to have fun with him.
