September Random

September was full of a lot of random fun and experiences!  Here are some pics!

Our community center did a fall festival one weekend.  It is a free event that is full of all sorts of fun like bounce houses, face painting, bands, crafts, etc.  We try to go every year because we always have a good time.  This year did not disappoint!

My grandma grows zucchini and she always grows so much.  I found a healthy recipe for zucchini bread and the kids could not get enough of it.  I would make these mini loaves several times a week.

Soccer

Dawson and Gracie are also both doing soccer this season.  Dawson is on the same team that he has played on for years.  He really enjoys playing and has built some good friendships with his teammates.  We just love watching him play.
Gracie did soccer last year once a week at preschool and also played for a short time through the YMCA.  A friend from preschool, asked her to join her Pride team.  Pride is a soccer program here that can become quite competitive as kids move up through the ranks.  We decided to have her play for Pride because it would be an all girls team and she would only have to play all girl teams.  Gracie is a little soccer star and she does really well.  She is very aggressive and does a great job staying after the ball.  Joey and I also love going to her games.  I hope they both chose to continue to play soccer for a long time.

Cross Country

The kids are participating in cross country again this year.  Gracie was so excited to finally get to participate.  They still practice on Monday and Friday mornings before school.  If they don't mess around too much, they can get in some decent mileage at each practice.  Their first race was a lot of fun to watch.  Both kids gave it their all and did great.  I love watching them build healthy habits from such a young age.

Emmy 21 Months

Here is our little princess at 21 months old.  A lot of these pictures were taken while we were in Disney World.  For some reason, Joey sent me a lot of pictures of her eating.  Judging by these pictures, she does a lot of eating.  Which is true, but she also does a lot of playing.

Disney Day 8

The saddest day had arrive: the day we had to go home.  As usual, we booked a late night flight so we could still get in some final fun before we headed home.  After we got our bags ready and left our rooms one last time, we started our day at the Yacht Club marketplace.  They had the best mini banana bread loaves and I think we each got one for breakfast just about everyday.  We miss that banana bread!!!

After we ate, we made our way to Hollywood Studios.  Since it was so hot, we opted to take the boat which was a nice break from the heat.

We got in the park quickly, and headed straight for Toy Story Mania.  We had to get in one last ride.  We all just love this ride so much!

Next, we took a ride on the Tower of Terror/

Those that were brave enough, went on the Rock n Roller Coaster one last time.

We made our way back over to Toy Story Land.  (The amount of walking we do walking from one of the park to the other back again.) . We had fast passes for Toy Story Mania.

After Toy Story, the kids wanted to ride the Alien Saucers.  The line was long, but they just has to ride so we waited in a very long line for a very short ride.

After the alien saucers, we headed over to Slinky Dog for our fast passes.  Love this roller coaster.  I just wish the line wasn't always so long!

We made our way over to Star Tours where we had a fast pass to use.

After our ride, we had lunch reservations for a new restaurant.  Sci Fi Diner has been around for a long time, but I had always heard mixed reviews about the food.  A Youtuber Jameson watches went and he was dying to go too.  It was the neatest restaurant ever!!!  We all got to eat in cars and while you eat they show clips from old Sci Fi movies.  I laughed the entire time as the cheesiness of these old movies.  It was a blast!

Really good dessert

We had a late lunch, and decided to make our way out of the park because we had ridden everything there and lines were pretty long on this day.  We wanted to go into Epcot one last time.

We took the boat back to the Yacht Club and walked over to Epcot.

Spaceship Earth is such a family favorite for all of us.  We always ride this ride several times each trip.  It is getting ready to undergo a major refurbishment and will be closed for like a year and a half and it will be a completely different ride.  We all decided we needed to get in one final ride before it is changed forever.

For some reason, I did not take any more pictures the rest of the day.  I know that we walked around world showcase for a bit before making our way back to the hotel.  We went to the Beach Club marketplace to use the last of our food and snack credits.  We needed to eat something since we had a late flight.  Before we knew it, the magic express was pulling up to take us the airport.  We made a lot of stops on the way to pick up more people.  I was a little nervous about making our flight.  In December, when we flew out, security was a NIGHTMARE.  We waited in line for such a long time.  We were so relieved to get through security in a matter of minutes and to our gate.  The flight left on time and it was a long flight home.  I wish I could sleep on flights, but I am just usually too nervous of a flier.  When we landed, we waited a really long time for our bags.  It took forever for them to come of the baggage carousel.  Then we had to take a shuttle to the parking lot.  We didn't get home until after 1:00 a.m.  We had gotten up that day around 3:00 a.m Colorado time.  It was the longest day ever, but it was the perfect ending to such a great trip.  Until next time Disney!!!
