Disney Day 6

Originally, we had planned to venture out and go to Universal Studios for the day.  We have never been to the one in Orlando, and we really wanted to check it out.  However, as the day got closer the kids decided that they did not want to go to Universal.  They did not want to leave Disney World for any reason.  All of the adults really wanted to go, but we decided to let the kids decide.  It did save us a lot of money to not go to Universal because the tickets are expensive.
Since crowds were so low, I was able to get us fast passes for Thursday, and we just kind of winged it from there.  It ended up being a really fun day and the kids were very happy with their decision.

We started bright and early, and started our day with the short walk towards Epcot.

Ready for another incredible day in Disney

Jameson cracked me up in this hat

This girl was loving life!!!

We headed straight for Test Track and rode that.

After Test Track, I had the worst idea ever.  I mentioned to the kids that they had never been on Mission Space.  Ashlyn rode it when she was the only one old enough to ride.  The ride is really intense and the G-force on the ride is stomach churning.  After taking Ashlyn when she was younger, I swore I would never ride it again.  Well, I forgot that I had said that, and of course they all were dying to ride.  I was the only adult that would ride it.  They have a milder side, that Katy, my Mom, and Gracie went on.  I rode it with the other kids and screamed the entire time.  Well, of course they were begging to do it again.  I couldn't say no to their sweet little faces, so I rode it again with them.  I was convinced that I would be dizzy all day, but I survived.

After our trip to space, we trekked it across the park to the land pavilion.  The line for Soarning was fairly short, so we had to take advantage of that.

Being crazy in line

After our ride, we took the kids to get some lunch.  The adults wanted to try some Food and Wine booths, so we knew we needed to get the kids fed since they wouldn't want any thing from the booths.

Lunch!
We headed over to the world showcase for some food.  This particular day was really, really hot.  I had been reading reviews as to what was the best.  The first stop was this crispy beef and chips.  It was really, really good.

We kept walking around the showcase.  It was pretty crowded, and we were all literally melting.  We decided to hop into Mexico to ride the ride and cool off for a bit.  It was much needed!

You can see in this picture how sweaty Jameson and Gracie were

We stopped at a few more food booths and the food was pretty good.

The kids wanted to go to the Japan store to do some shopping.  Japan has a huge store with some really neat stuff.  The kids all picked out some souvenirs and we decided to head back to the hotel for some swimming.

The kids got in the pool and were swimming for about 30 minutes before the sky just opened up and it started pouring rain.  We made a beeline for our room.  It was actually a great way to get the kids out of the pool without any complaining .  The kids all showered and we got ready for a night in Magic Kingdom.

Ready for the Magic Kingdom

No clue why Ella is wearing a sweatshirt in the heat

Prettiest niece ever
When we got there we decided that we all were hungry and needed food. We didn't have any dining reservations, so we went to a quick service that was pretty good.

After dinner, most of the group headed to Pirates to use their fast passes.  Gracie and I had a very special fast pass to Enchanted Tales with Belle.  I wanted to take her the year before, but it didn't happen.  I was really excited for her to meet Belle.  I had read it was a really neat interactive experience for kids.

Ready to meet Belle
We had fast passes, so we got to go right in.  We all started in the first room and then got to walk through a magical mirror.

The mirror we walked through

In the second room, they explained that they needed some people to dress up as characters.  Grace got picked to be the Beast!  She was so excited.  They picked me (in no way did I actually volunteer)to be a guard.  Grace got to put on a special cape.

Ready to meet Belle
They brought us into the third room where Belle came out.  Since Grace was the beast, she got to have a very special dance with Belle.  I don't think I have ever smiled so much as I did watching her dance with Belle.  What a special moment it was for her!

Me as a gurad

After we met Belle, we met back up with everyone.  My Disney agent said that we had to try the churro ice cream sandwich at Sleepy Hollow.  They were pretty good and very refreshing.

After some sweet treats, we went to use our fast passes for Splash Mountain.  As always, it was a blast!  We got pretty wet on this ride.

Crazy kids!!!

After Splash, we walked to the teacups because we knew we couldn't leave Disney without riding those.  We all got nice and dizzy.

After the teacups, we headed over to Tomorrowland speedway.  I rode with Gracie and she was actually a really good driver.

We had planned to stay and watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom that night.  They have the best fireworks and we hadn't seen them yet.  We had some time to kill before the fireworks, so we went on the Carousel of Progress to rest for a bit and kill some time.  After Carousel of Progress, we went and rode Buzz Lightyear.  We were able to walk right on.

We thought the fireworks started at 10:00 and it was only 9:00.  So, we went on the People Mover.  As we were riding, we saw the fireworks going off.  We had gotten the time wrong!  That is a pretty long ride and there was nothing we could do.  When we got off, we ran over to the fireworks and watched the end of the show.  I was pretty disappointed, but at least we got to see some of them.  We headed for the busses, and made our way back to the hotel.
